Attraction marketing these days is all about relationship building. Gone are the days when people would buy from you despite whether they knew or liked you or not. There are far too many disingenuous people out there and too many innocents (and not so new marketers) who have been let down by them.

That's why the idea of attraction marketing has become so dominant, it's about building relationships, giving something of yourself that is rewarding to others.

We all have something to present, you simply need to identify which of your personal experiences you are most happy sharing and this will tell you which niche to concentrate on. Apart from anything else however, you need to build on your communication skills. A huge percentage of our personal communications are based on non-verbal aspects and these are almost totally absent or eliminated from written or audio communications.

It is extremely important to bear this in mind when you are considering building relationships with your team.

You are by no means going to be able to suit each individual every time as that old saying goes, but you definitely can work hard on developing and showing (or being) yourself when you write to them.

Grow yourself by placing others first. Think about what it was that you looked for most when you were in their place and then share that with them (freely, well at least in essence only for their email address and maybe phone number lol).

Reveal yourself by learning to let your natural self shine through your writing, be open, think it through and describe it in your own words, don't simply regurgitate what you read in the ads or what your most favourite guru has sent you. Share their knowledge with your referrals by all means but tell them where that is coming from if you are going to quote someone else verbatim and then back that up with your own reasons for thinking that particular information is influential so they still get an image of the real you.

Always provide several alternate contact methods in your chats with your prospects so they can use a style that suits them rather than be bound to the one that you decide.

Social networks and forums can be great ways to get yourself recognised and to develop relationships with people that enable you both to choose if you would like to work together before you pitch each other (caveat: using a sledge hammer approach to promoting your business ends up doing little more than sending you straight to someone's 'people you most want to avoid' list..)

You need to create acceptance for yourself, (your brand), before you can encourage the kind of people in who are going to work effectively with you, the more you give willingly and at the start, the less people request your time, reassurance and presence in order to find their own level of replication and duplication.

In conclusion then, the key to building relationships with your prospects is to develop your communication skills and to utilise to the utmost, the various technologies available to help you do this. Let yourself shine through so that people are able to relate to you on a personal level. Become someone that others want to be around because you have so much to offer, share willingly and gladly the experience that you have and never stop expanding yourself. This way your brand will take care of itself and you will slowly become an expert attraction marketer.
